"I think this is the fifth largest Elks Lodge in the US. Stunning views. Also, the average age here is early 50's as opposed to like 65 at most lodges. Their oldest member (Lois) is 101 years young. They have a good bar with a decent selection of food (ahi, burgers, salads, fish n chips, and a few pizzas to choose from). 2 bars with a good selection of spirits, rotating local beer and knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. This Lodge has a bevy of weekly, monthly and annual events, most of which bring in money for the various Elks charities. Some of Lodge #827's events include: King of Ballard, Trivia night, bingo (of course) including various themed dress up bingo(s), Monday night cribbage, monthly wine club (tasting) as well as various music and/or dancing events throughout the year. This location also has a paddling club that operates races (All paddle craft welcome) as well as a non-race social paddle on Monday nights from May to September and a variety of events throughout the rest of the year."

"Bring your Elks card and be prepared to show it to the bartender every single time you order anything or face a tongue lashing. I get the feeling someone needs a hug and maybe some breathing exercises."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
